Cookies

Everything this site stores on your device, what it's for, and how to turn it off. It's a short list.

If you decline, we store one thing.

Your decline. It sits in your browser's local storage as cw.consent.v1 so we don't ask you again on every page. It holds the word "denied" and the date you said it. Nothing is sent anywhere, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Nothing else runs. No analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixels. The site works exactly the same.

If you accept, two more.

We load Google Analytics 4, which sets two first-party cookies. We use it to see which pages get opened and which country people arrive from. We don't sell it, share it, or use it for advertising.

  • _ga — tells one browser apart from another. Two years.
  • _ga_<id> — keeps track of a single visit. Two years.

Advertising storage and personalisation stay switched off whether you accept or not. We don't run ads.

Three things we don't control.

These load whatever you choose, because the site can't be served without them. None of them set cookies here.

  • Google Fonts — serves the typefaces, sees your IP address.
  • YouTube (no-cookie mode) — the films on our case studies. Stores nothing until you press play.
  • Formspree — only when you send the contact form, and only what you typed into it.

Changing your mind.

Takes one click, in either direction, at any time. We'll ask again after a year regardless.

Asking us about it.

Email hello@cartridge.works and a human replies within one working day. That includes asking what we hold on you, or telling us to delete it.
